*CPCAAUTO: March retail sales of auto reached 1.6mio units, up 17% m/m, the total retail sales of 4.3mio units this year, down 13% y/y. March retail sales of NEV reached 549k units, up 5% y/y and 27% m/m, with cumulative retail sales of NEV of 1.32mio units, up 15% y/y.

*MOC: China Jan-Feb service trade continued to increase with total export-import volume of service trade reached cny 969.58bn, up 1.7% y/y, with export service trade of cny 423.33bn, down 11.8% y/y and import service trade of cny 557.25bn, up 14.7% y/y.

 

Industrial Economy

*The Energy Bureau of Guangdong province issued notice in the development and construction of ground-based centralized photovoltaic power station in 2023 which established the first batch of 82 development projects this year with total investment of cny 52.532 bn.

*SASAC: Zhang Yuzhuo, head of SASAC took an investigate and survey in Empyrean (301269 CH) on April 6th, whom pointed out to further implement targeted policies in terms of talents and funds, support central enterprises to overcome difficulties and further promote high-quality development of integrated circuit industry chain including the application of EDA software tool.

*Shandong provincial government issued opinions to promote the application of NEV in provincial administrative institutions which pointed out that administrative institutions with updated official automobiles use of fiscal funds, in addition to the specific job requirements, all equipped with NEV

*Airbus will build a second final assembly line in Tianjin for A320 and A321 aircraft production and is scheduled to go into operation by the end of 2025 which means 20% of the global final assembly of Airbus single-aisle aircraft will take place in Tianjin, said by Guillaume Faury, CEO of Airbus.

* Global crude oil price closed down mostly. May NYMEX crude oil contract down 0.19% to closed at $80.46/b, June Brent contract down 0.15% to closed at $84.86/b. INE crude oil active contract up 1.10% to 588.7 yuan/b.

* Precious metals closed down collectively. COMEX gold contract down 0.58% to closed at $2023.7/oz. SHFE gold active contract down 0.26% to closed at 445.88 yuan/gram.

* Metals closed up mostly, LME nickel up 1.63%, LME copper up 0.97%, LME tin up 0.88%, LME zinc up 0.52%. SHFE nickel up 1.41%, SHFE lead up 0.39%, SHFE tin down 0.71% on the contrast.

* Commodity futures closed down mostly, energy & chemistry futures saw weak performance, MEG down 2.03%, polyester stable fiber down 1.76%, natural rubber down 1.53%, methanol down 1.43%, TSR 20 down 1.11%. Black series closed mixed, hot-rolled coil up 0.99%, iron ore down 1.07%. Agricultural products performed weak, rapeseed meal down 2.18%, soybean meal down 1.74%, rapeseed oil down 1.39%, No.2 soybean down 1.26%, sugar up 2.05%, cotton up 1.39%.
